Peace Funded Projects
PEACE IV Ancient Clans – Our Sared Heritage
The Rural Centre coordinates this programme to engage and develop sustained linkages through shared heritage between Mid Ulster District Council and Donegal County Council and groups within these areas. The shared heritage will focus on The O’Neill and clans of Ancient Ulster with significance for Mid Ulster and Donegal.
Peace IV Celebrating Cultural Diversity
The Rural Centre delivers this Programme on behalf of Ards and North Down Borough Council. The programme includes workshops and site visits to cultural centres and places of worship to explore culture, identity and diversity. Participants will discover how culture influences everything we do and look at different cultural perspectives.
The PEACE programme has been implemented as a cross-border cooperation programme between Ireland and the UK. The programme addresses the specific problems caused by the conflict with the aim of creating a peaceful and stable society.
European Funded Projects
BeFlex: How cognitive flexibility can help workers adapt to a rapidly changing work environment to design a skills training programme. Partners are from: UK, Portugal, Romania, Spain (2), Slovakia.
Life Beyond: To organise awareness-raising initiatives about the cultural aspects, historical value and mystical attributes of burial grounds.
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport. Projects involve working with at least three partners from other regions of Europe to collaborate and share expertise to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe.
